====== The Crystal forest ======

Colossal crystals erupt from the cavern floor and ceiling like a petrified woodland frozen mid-sway. \\    
Some towers rise two hundred feet tall, their razor-edged facets glowing with inner light in shades of sapphire, rose-quartz, and lightning-white. \\    
Others sprawl sideways in tangled thickets, their branches interlocking to form natural archways and vaulted halls. 

A constant low-frequency hum vibrates through every surface, felt in the teeth and bones of any creature that lingers too long. The air tastes metallic and faintly sweet.

The crystals are the secret behind clockwork machines, equal part magic and science.

The mining of these crystals is done on a limited scale. Thst is because like actual forests, these crystals continualy grow - as long as the base of the crystal is untouched.

However mining the crystals is dangereous. Besides the crystaline elementals and thieves drawn to the crystals, the crystals themselves are deadly when ingested in a form of fine dust produced while mining.
