====== Morana ====== ||| |Goddess:| Death, cold, and winter| |Pantheon:| Death, Nature| |Symbol:| Black ring with white borders. Quite often a snowflake is found inside the ring.| The most powerful Deity in the entire pantheon and therefore the most powerful Deity of the Death pantheon. Mother of the goddesses Raven Queen (Črnjobog) and Wee-Jas (Vesna). She was and is a terrible mother who never wanted to have daughters, but during one celebration she got drunk and participated in lewd activities. Goddess with white-silver hair and snow-blue eyes, of breathtakingly beautiful face. On one hand she has long glossy black nails, while on the other hand her fingertips end in something resembling metallic claws. She is always dressed in a black lace dress whose upper part is shaped like a corset, and from beneath the dress tiny snowflakes gently fall. Around her neck she wears soft grey-white fur. On her feet she wears leather high-heeled boots. Although she appears as a human woman in her early forties, she is the oldest deity. She was born right after the death of the old gods. In folklore she is often described as the Queen of Winter or the Queen of Death. The title of Goddess is rarely attributed to her out of fear that such naming would only give her more power, so attempts are made to degrade her title. But this does not bother Morana in the slightest, as she considers herself the Queen of the Gods. All cultures on Obliviscetura have their own interpretation of Morana, but what all cultures share is awe and dread towards her. Her worship manifests through fear of forced death and through the act of forced or premature death of creatures. Her subjects often control ice magic. Creatures loyal to her are Night Hags (Baba Yaga / night hag). For their devotion, her followers frequently receive the ability to remain in the material world unnaturally long. Souls that were not her followers but come to her domain after death are often food for her power or for her subjects. She does not oppose the raising of the dead as long as the soul does not return to its body through that process.\\ In the era when Morana was the only goddess, an ice age reigned.
