Karas

Karas is one of the older gods, having witnessed the replacement of entire pantheons in his time. But that does not help him remain powerful. Through all those years, his strength has only declined. Near the end of the Third Age, he decided to spice things up a bit by sending his son Jezuš Kristuš, born of the mother Marija, to Obliviscetur. But after a few years, his son betrayed him when he saw the state of Obliviscetur and decided to help the people. Soon he himself began to compete for Divine magic.

Since neither of the two had enough strength left to be a god anymore, and as they were of the same Divine blood — Father and Son — now better known by the name Jezuš Kristuš, they merged into a single body.

Like two people glued back to back, one side shows the smooth skin of Jezuš and the other the rough skin of Karas. Their tango of power is clearly visible in their physical form. Depending on who holds more Divine strength at any given moment, the body turns toward that one’s face. When they weaken as a pair, they become more shriveled and aged. But as their strength grows, they begin to separate — at moments, both have even had arms of their own.

Karas’s followers are among the most loyal people, for Karas as a god is the most communicative with them. He enjoys meddling in their little games and making deals. He has never yet betrayed one of his followers. However, that doesn’t mean he always acted in their favor. There was a period when he loved watching his followers fight each other and call upon him for help from both sides. And he would “selflessly” help them all. Many scholars believe that because of such things, his power is now fading.

Other gods don’t hold any particular opinion about him. They consider him dirty for meddling with mortals — to the point that he even fathered a child with a mortal woman. Those who have deals with Jezuš know not to weaken him too much, since that would also weaken Jezuš. Those who work against Jezuš have a certain respect and fear toward Karas, for the stories of Karas’s demons have not yet died out.

In mythology, he is mentioned as a powerful god of chaos with an army of indomitable demons. Every quarrel, every revolution, and every war of the past is believed to have been stirred up by Karas himself. There are ancient tales of pantheon purges that happened simply because he willed it. It is also said that during the First Age, he meddled with Morana, and there are stories of a child he had with her — but it died during the human war on Obliviscetur in the Second Age. Then, “eternal” winter ruled over Obliviscetur, lasting until the very end of the Second Age.
